LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:  APRN Attendance Urgently Needed at Upcoming Town Hall Meetings

March 8, 2019

Last evening, March 7, there was a town hall meeting located in northwest Marion County.  It was hosted by Senators Ruckelshaus and Ford and Representatives Hamilton and DeLaney.   Organized medicine had a strong presence and presented more of the same inaccuracies and angry rhetoric.

Fortunately, this event was also attended by several APRNs who were able to present counter arguments and meet one on one with some of the legislators after the event.  One APRN spent an hour after the event dialoging with some of the physicians.

There are other upcoming town halls and it is essential to have our voices heard at these events.   Organized medicine is attending these events and aggressively fighting against the advancement of SB 394.
