Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received by CAPNI in writing. The date upon which the notice of the cancellation is received shall apply as the official date of cancellation. If a cancellation occurs, the following shall apply: If a registrant cancels between the time of application and 91 days prior to conference, CAPNI will refund 50% of the fee received. If a registrant cancels between 30 and 90 days prior to the conference, the entire fee will be forfeited.

MSK Joint Injections

  • Anatomy and physiology of the major joints of the body including shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. 
  • Common pathologies of these major joints 
  • How to evaluate the orthopedic patient
  • Reasons for intrarticular aspiration
  • Selecting your anesthetic agent for injection
  • Demonstration of the shoulder aspiration/injections

This session involves hands-on techniques with Tony Romeo, a lead instructor for Skills On Point and a 30+ year veteran first assistant/APRN working primarily in an orthopedic surgical environment in South Chicago, IL. It is designed for novice learners and no experience is required to attend this session. Non-biologic trainers are used to practice injections which provide for auditory confirmation of proper placement of needles in the intraarticular spaces of the knee and shoulder.
