CAPNI ADVOCACY DAY AT INDIANA STATE HOUSE
FEBRUARY 11, 2020 10 am-2pm
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Advocacy Day at the Indiana State House is an event that brings APRNs and state legislators together. It provides you with an opportunity to meet with your state Senator and state Representative to discuss heath care issues that affect your patients and your practice.
CAPNI plans to introduce legislation for Death Certificate Signature Authority for APRNs. CAPNI is not pursing Full Practice Authority (FPA) legislation in 2020. However, a major focus for a number of legislators for the 2020 legislative session is to decrease health care costs and increase the health care work force in Indiana. APRNs can contribute to the solution for both of these issues, especially if Indiana eventually becomes a FPA state. Attending Advocacy Day is a valuable opportunity to to discuss these issue with legislators.
Registration is open to CAPNI members and is free. We request that registered attendees, please notify us if they need to cancel, as registration is limited.
